We both typically apply for 6 to 8 credit cards every year, recycling old cards or cards with higher annual fees that do not make sense to keep paying for anymore. For example, we recently canceled Citi^® / AAdvantage^® Executive World Elite card due to its high annual fee of $450 USD. One might feel having a 720 score be considered excellent and another might feel 800 to be excellent, so all depends on where and who your applying too.

Aquabus- Vancouver, Canada

The Aquabus is a ferry by Hornby Street, which is within walking distance from the Hyatt hotel. The walk is around 20 minutes, if you want to grab a cab or rent some bikes, you can do that as well. The walk will, however, allow for you to explore the restaurants on your way there – just in case you get hungry on your way back! The Aquabus is a great way to explore False Creek within a half-hour ferry tour and then go shopping and dining at the end of the tour. We took the all-day pass, which is convenient if you want to hop on and off and explore each stop, or you can just stay on the ferry if you like without having to buy the all-day pass and just by a two-way trip for going and coming. The moment I reached the dock, I was a bit confused, because I didn’t see anyone selling tickets at a booth, but you’ll realize why it’s not really needed. The person who collects the money on the ferry can provide you a ticket, but no one really has a ticket unless you do the tour, which we did.

We personally didn’t get off at all the stops; we just took the tour and then hopped off at Granville Island. There are a lot of shops, I found them to be a bit on the pricey side though, with an exception of a few shops, which was reasonably priced and a good place to buy any souvenirs or gifts for family members. We roamed around for a while, quite longer than expected. It was a nice vibe, the cute town where you can just hang out for a while and have some coffee or tea. I noticed children playing by the lake and there were ducks there as well, so it was nice. There was a public Market Place, which seemed to be dedicated to little children filled with toy stores and a play area for the little ones. I stopped by an organic coffee shop, it was nice to just sit and spend time watching kids play with the ducks and helicopters they brought along and just relax and chit chat away without worrying about the time.

Capilano Suspension Bridge – Vancouver, Canada

The Capilano Bridge is a must-see when in Vancouver, it is a nice way to appreciate nature with a twist. It takes about 20 minutes to get there from the Hyatt hotel, and there is a free shuttle bus that picks you up and drops you off, which is superb! Just be aware to show up at the pickup/drop-off point on time (it is prompt). The hotel will tell you the times the bus comes to pick you up and then the same goes for drop-offs. The bus is large and the ride is comfy, not bad at all for a free bus. The ride there is rather quick because you get so distracted with the gorgeous views on the way to the bridge, and if you miss your chance to take the pictures, no worries, you can always take pictures on your way back- which I did. The bus crosses a bridge on its way to Capilano and it’s the best time to snap away pictures of the mountains!

The price for the adult ticket is around $32, which is kind of pricey especially if you’re not a Mature person, and then it varies for kids, seniors, and residents.

Since we had our tickets from before there was no wait, we just had our hand stamped and walked into my surprise the bridge is the first thing you come across after the gift shop and coffee shop. I thought it would be a walk to get there. It looked just like it did in the pictures, long scary and surrounded by the forest.

As soon as we reached the stairs it started to shake, I was so freaked out at first because I couldn’t believe I felt the ground beneath my feet shake before I stepped onto the bridge! Once I was at my last step I was already walking the bridge, which I must admit is a bit scary at first, but then you get the hang of it. The bridge literally just hangs there 230 feet above a river, it is very intimidating at first, but, before you know it, you’re already in the middle.

I started to do the rain dance, lol, but don’t do that! Once I and Adnan started acting silly, there was a loud announcement stating we shouldn’t be running, jumping, skipping, hopping, or doing any of those things on the bridge.

Once we reached the middle, you can really appreciate the gorgeous view right where the sun shines at you! It leaves you in awe thinking of how they would have built a bridge 460 feet long during the 1800’s rite in the middle of a forest above the water.

After completing the walk, we decided we wanted to go towards the Cliff Walk, so we immediately turned around to walk back onto the Suspension Bridge.

Once we reached the Cliff Walk, we realized the stairs were very narrow and the pathway was daunting. I was holding on to the rail so tight while I went down the stairs and each time I’d reach the bottom I’d sigh a breath of release.

The stairs at the Cliffwalk are very small; you would have to be extra cautious with children.

Continuously looking down kind of got to my head and when I looked straight ahead, I felt like I was going to trip over- all mind games I guess.

Even when climbing up the stairs, it’s one foot after another. I eventually got the hang of it and let the rain go; at this point I was comfortable to take pictures without holding on. After the Cliffwalk, on my way up, I noticed two points- one was a glass fence and the other was just a metal rail under your feet!
